Back in 2018, I was working a corporate job. For fun, I started writing a rather silly erotic series about a first time hotwife and shared it with a few close friends at work. I know, crazy. How did I not get fired?
But my friends loved it. I called the story "Fallen Angel".
At the time, I never dreamed I would be writing and publishing my stories. It was just for fun, but the seed had been planted.
In 2020, that seed sprouted.
I learned how to publish on Amazon and decided to give it a shot.
I wrote a darker, longer series about a cheating wife named Jessica and her husband Ron. She deceived and humiliated him.
Both of them shifted and grew.
He moved through grief, rage, and revenge.
And ultimately chose love.
He chose her.
The story was deeply personal and erotic for me. It was my kind of love story.
But the series got mixed reviews. I took the negatives ones personally.
And I quit writing for a year.
A beautiful soul and author named Lacey Cross encouraged me to try again. Had I not met her, I'm not sure I would have given it another shot, but she pulled me off the bench and back onto the playing field.
I started writing erotic shorts (between 6,500 and 8,500 words) about hotwives and their supportive husbands.
And while I love those books, I hadn't yet fully returned to my unique, authentic author voice.
In the future, I plan to adapt these shorts into full length novels. Really dive into the stories of these women.
Really celebrate them.
Because that's what my writing is about.
I'm now writing under the pen name Morgan Hale. That, too, has been a journey on my way back to authenticity. You can learn more at https://morganhalebooks.com/.
